Sheet Metal Workers Local 15 offers the opportunity for a rewarding career.  Through our Joint Apprenticeship and Training Fund we offer education and training to complement the demands of the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Industry.  Classes range from basic Apprenticeship Training to advanced Journeyman Upgrade classes with continuing education necessary to meet the needs of such a diverse industry and provide a wide variety of opportunities.

Opportunities Include:
  • Architectural Sheet Metal : brass and copper ornamentation, columns, skylights, signs, and metal ceilings; metal roof systems, gutters, downspouts, and flashings.
  • Cabinets and Enclosures: for use by the telecommunications industry and others.
  • Computers and CNC Equipment: design and fabricate sheet metal products.
  • Food Service and Beverage: stainless steel fabrication and installation in restaurants, cafeterias, fast food, etc.
  • Service Work: installing, maintaining, and repair of equipment that conditions air.
  • Testing, Adjusting and Balancing: fine tuning and maintaining HVAC components.
  • Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning: design, fabricate and install HVAC systems.
  • Heavy Gauge and Specialty Work: storage tanks, conveyors, chutes, hoppers, and other material handling components.
  • Lagging: fabricating and installing a protective metal covering over insulated components.
  • Layout and Pattern Development: development of patterns for objects to be constructed.
  • Safety, Health, and Environmental Training
  • Siding and Decking: rigging and installation of building components relating to floors, walls, and decking.
  • Welding: fusing different types of metal using the latest technological processes.
